about hatha yoga
Term classes focus on the continued development of your practice and include: explanations, breath work, adjustments to ensure correct alignment, stretching and strength building, learning to be mindful of your body, mind and breath, relaxation and the development of a short meditation practice. Students are progressed with more in-depth postures, variations and practices as needed.
mindful yoga
Mindful Yoga is slower paced but not necessarily less challenging. Fewer postures are attempted and more work and inquiry is done in the postures. With mindfully aware of your body, mind and breath as you take postures and other exercises. Watch your body open, lengthen and strengthen as you work in this way. Movement flows into stillness and calm and the class includes breathing, relaxation, a body scan or meditation. Suitable for beginner and general level students.
hatha yoga
This mid-paced class offers physical and mental calm and relaxation. Develop your practice and see how breath, inner alignment, spaciousness and support can bring you ease and lightness. Variations for postures and vinyasa transitions are always given. Students are encouraged to observe their body, mind and breath and to work intuitively at a level that suits. Classes may include breathing (pranayama), relaxation, yoga nidra and meditation. Suitable for beginner and general level students.
