We offer meditation in a number of ways: as individual and comprehensive courses for those who want to start, revisit or deepen a regular practice, and as a regular component of hatha yoga.

Has your inner calm gone walkabout? Managing the madness is a highly practical and experiential Mindfulness Meditation program which will help you to reconnect with your inner balance and peace of mind.
Learn proven methods to return the manic mind to a graceful state of calm. Managing the Madness draws from a number of traditions and practices including the Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) model developed by Jon Kabat-Zinn for the University of Massachusetts Medical School and the Center for Mindfulness in Medicine, Healthcare and Society (UMass). The course includes: guided instructions in mindfulness meditation practices including breathing techniques, gentle yoga and stretching, relaxation and awareness exercises, group discussions, weekly homework (30 minutes practice per day is required), four home practice CDs and a coursebook.

Meditation within Hatha Yoga
Three realms yoga classes incorporate the calmness and quietness of a short meditation practice at the end of class. As your yoga practice develops and with guidance your body and mind will become more rested and open to the idea of meditation. With this, you'll notice that you can 'sit' for longer periods of time with comfort and ease.

In class, students are invited to join with the guided meditation being offered or to 'sit' with their existing meditation practice.
